This is a portrait of 24 animal species. And Charles Darwin.

In his book, ‘On the Origin of Species’, he tells us ‘It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent... It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.’

In my work, Darwin has become absorbed in his own studies to the point of camouflage. I show him to be adapted, evolved and absorbed all at once.
“It is a cursed thing when man becomes as absorbed in any subject as I am in mine.” Darwin.
